Artemis II
NASA crewed mission around the Moon (Artemis program). In the One Small Crawl production, Artemis II material is space-news archival source - part of the film’s spaceflight thread that plays against the snail’s crawl.
Role in the film
- The NASA “Voice From TV” (CHAR-002) is “the Eagle has landed” - Apollo 11 mission archival audio, used as the space/moon motif (public domain / archival, clearance to verify).
- The film’s space tangent culminates in sc04’s lunar-orbit capsule sub-sequence: snail in orbit, Nutella floating zero-g, Earth seen through a porthole (era codes sp = capsule interior, hd = orbital).
- The working-title pun “one small crawl” / “one small step” pairs the snail’s scale with spaceflight (snail returns from walking route-66 to an orbital track).
Archive on disk / in export
- RAI Tg3 news records in the OMC export: T09143_211 and T26097_303 “Tg3 Pomeriggio - Missione spaziale Artemis II” (see artemis-ii-tg3-news).
- Original wiki read the Artemis II clip as a “then vs now” juxtaposition; the authoritative bible shows it as part of the film’s space motif (archive-footage-reuse).
Notes
- Confidence medium: the NASA “Eagle has landed” line is Apollo 11, while the Artemis II records are the modern references - both motivate the space thread.
